The Army Aviation Association of America carries general liability insurance to help protect itself (the National Office and Local AAAA Chapters) from loss.
Specifically, the policy provides the following coverage:
Bodily Injury & Property Damage - $1,000,000 each occurrence
General Aggregate-Maximum - $1,000,000 per policy term
Products/Completed Operations - $1,000,000
Personal Injury Liability - $1,000,000
Fire Damage Liability - $300,000
Medical Expenses - $5,000 per person
The Chapter Level covered events include:
- Professional meetings
- Family days
- Golf tournaments
- Fun runs & Picnics
For running events, in order to further help protect the AAAA, copies of the following release must be signed by each participant in these runs;
"In consideration of the acceptance of this entry, I hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, release and discharge the Army Aviation Association of America (AAAA), plus sponsors, their representatives and successors, managers, directors, officials, agents, and volunteers of the road race named above from any and all claims of injury or liabilities of any kind, illness or damages suffered by me, as a result of my participation in or traveling to or from this event. I know that running a road race is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and run or walk unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run or walk. I assume all risks associated with participation in this event, including but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, traffic and the conditions of the road. I hereby certify that I am in such physical condition and good health. I also give my permission for the free use of my name and picture in any written account, broadcast or telecast of this event."
