Air Traffic Control Controller of the Year Award

  • Deadline for submission of Nomination Packet is September 1st of the subsequent year
  • All information in the Summary and Support Documents must have occurred between September 1 and August 31 of the year that the nomination is being submitted.

CRITERIA

Sponsored by Raytheon, this Award will be presented "to the Army Aviation Air Traffic controller who has performed outstandingly in or contributed commendably to air traffic control during the swards period encompassing September 1 through August 31." A candidate for this AAAA National Award may be military or a civilian nominee and must be actively involved in Army Aviation ATC. Membership in the AAAA is not a requirement for consideration.

One or more of the general areas below may be considered, with no priority implied: 1) outstanding performance in unusually adverse/emergency situations; 2) development, introduction, and acceptance of ATC procedures that have improved safety or efficiency; 3) continuous efficient performance of duty that commands the respect and recognition of others in ATC; 4) outstanding personal performance; 5) outstanding achievement in community relations; 6) authorship of a recognized technical or nontechnical paper on ATC; and 7) dedication to the ATC system beyond the normal requirement of expectation.
