A chapter is comprised of at least 25 members who share an interest in Army Aviation and reside within a 50 mile radius of the seat of the potential chapter.
There are 4 different classifications of Chapters:

The National Executive Group, (NEG), consists of:
BG Howard W. Yellen, Ret., President; BG (Ret.) E.J. Sinclair, Senior VP; BG (Ret.) Steve Mundt, Secretary; MG (Ret.) Jeff Schloesser, Treasurer; and two appointed members – LTC (Ret.) Jan Drabczuk, VP Chapters; and CW5 (Ret.) Dave Cooper, VP Membership.

The Army Aviation Association of America carries general liability insurance to help protect itself (the National Office and Local AAAA Chapters) from loss.
If you do not fill out the Meeting Notice Form you will not be able to take advantage of the below benefits.
A Chapter Refund in the amount of $4.80 per member, per year is available to Chapters who qualify under the following criteria:
As a courtesy for the local chapters, AAAA provides a $25 Speaker Underwrite refund check each time a Chapter conducts a professional meeting at which a guest speaker makes a presentation to the Chapter membership.
The intent of the program is to have the National Office, rather than the Chapter, underwrite the visiting guest speaker's meal. The AAAA National Office will monitor the program through the Chapter's Meeting Notices and will automatically provide the funding.
BACKGROUND - BY-LAW PREFERENCE
Section 2.1.3 of the By-Laws states that Chapter Honorary members are "those persons who, in the opinion of the Chapter Executive Board, have given outstanding support to Army Aviation."
The Sustaining Membership Program is designed to appeal to those local (non-defense) businesses or agencies that desire to express support of Army Aviation through their AAAA Chapter.
A Chapter Membership Roster will be provided monthly to the President, Secretary and the Vice President of Membership of each Chapter. The roster provides a current list of Chapter members of record.
The Chapter Baseline Reward program encourages membership growth & retention at the Chapter level through a financial reward system.
A Chapter Program to Recognize Outstanding
Aviation Soldiers and Non-Commissioned Officers on a Monthly Basis
The AAAA supports a Chapter Awards Program in which Chapter-selected "Aviation Soldiers and NCOs of the Month" receive complimentary, one-year Association memberships underwritten by the AAAA.
In order to ensure Chapters have control over funds and are in compliance with IRS reporting requirements, the following procedures shall be implemented and maintained by each Chapter:
The Army Aviation Association of America (AAAA) instituted the Professional Forum Soldier Sponsorship program to help underwrite the cost of sending one Junior Soldier (LT, WO1, E1-4), from each AAAA chapter to the AAAA Annual Professional Forum.
The AAAA provides the following complimentary Certificates to Chapters and Regions. The Certificates are 8 1/2" x 11" sheets with black imprinting and may be mounted as plaques.
PURPOSE: In order to encourage better information flow between both the chapters and the AAAA Executive Board, the National Executive Group (NEG) requests feedback on your event. We will use this information for the monthly article on chapters in the Army Aviation magazine and to plan for future funding activities.
Past Officer pins are available for Outgoing Chapter Officers whom the Chapter President feels have enhanced the Chapter's activities and the AAAA. They are not issued automatically.
